  1. I think it is important that one needs to give credit to those whom they draw information from and reference because it is not your work. It is the author’s words and should receive credit for his/her work. You wouldn’t want anyone taking credit for your work. A way plagiarism may be avoided is by restating or paraphrasing the information. You can also cite the work you are using into your paper.

  2. It is important to give due credit to one’s sources because the information being used is not our own, and we must therefore cite which source we are referring to. One of the most efficient ways to avoid plagiarism is by analysis our sources, asking ourselves what the author means and attempting to summarize the context without looking at the source, this way we can avoid using the author’s words. Another way is by using quotation marks to signal when you’re using the author’s words and/or ideas. Also, we can credit our sources by using foot notes and the MLA format which also help us avoid plagiarism.

  3. I think it is important that one needs to give due credit to those whom they draw information from and reference because the information you used for own good is not from your own words. In the other word, you must respect for the original sources when you use them for your own. Imagine that you create the original source from your own words, but it is plagiarized by the other person without giving any due credit to you. What do you feel if this situation happens to you? You probably feel no respect from the person who plagiarizes your original source. So it is important to give due credit to one’s source. The effective way to avoid plagiarism is to understand and analysis the meaning of the sources that you are using. Most of the people plagiarize the information directly from the author because they don’t understand the sources and don’t know how to use them. People can avoid the plagiarism, if they can attempt to understand and analysis the meaning of the sources before they use them. In addition, developing a topic based on what has already been written in the sources but write something new and original is the other ways to avoid plagiarism. Moreover, you can use put all direct quotes in quotation marks and changed the words used by the author into synonyms. In this way, when you use the author’s original sources, you can illustrate author’s goal in your own words without plagiarism.

  4. The reason that plagiarism is illegal isn’t because it’s cheap, but because it is a form of academic dishonesty. It’s important not to copy someone else’s work since it can get you kicked out from school. By using the APA, MLA and other types of formats we can avoid copying someone’s work by citing our sources at the end. It helps show the reader that you are borrowing the information from a credible source, and it also shows where the reader could find more information about it. It’s not enough to just cite things though. In an MLA paper you must mention the author while you quote them, and then put the page number in parenthesis. You can also paraphrase or summarize the information you get from someone else, but you must remember to put the page number in parentheses after your done with your summary. When paraphrasing make your that you aren’t changing the words of the author with different synonyms and that you must put everything into your own words.

  5. It is not only important it is necessary to give credit when it is due. When you do not give proper credit to an author you are robbing them of there hard work and instead you are claiming that work as your own. Plagiarism is dishonest. Also the repercussions of plagiarizing can have dire effects, ranging from Academic dismissal to Career ending.
Plagiarism can be avoided by using proper MLA format and or Quoting, paraphrasing, Italicizing when referencing someone else's work. This also helps the reader because they may look up the original work and it may help to build upon your ideas and or theory.

  7. It is important to credit those who we draw information from and reference, because it is essential that we acknowledge not only theinformation we draw from them, but also the thoughts and ideas that went into the sources work. Not only is plagiarism an act of deception and dishonesty, but can also be met with serious reprocautions such as expulsion or failure of course. We can avoid plagiarism by properly citing or giving credit to whom we draw information from, by using quotation marks around the borrowed information, putting summaries and paraphrases in our own words, and citing quotations of borrowed ideas.

  8. It is important to give due credit to those we get our information from because we are using their sources to help us get our point across. It is also important to give due credit because it is apart of writing etiquette and the right thing to do. How would we feel if someone used our work and ideas as their own and they did not give us any credit? We would feel horrible and we would not like it at all. Plagiarism can be avoided by citing the source we got our information from and by reiterating what the source said but using our own words. It can also be avoided by writing the name of the reference we used and who it was written by. These are just a few ways that we can avoid plagiarim.

  10. This is the most important thing we have to do when it comes to writing essays for school. Lets say we don't credit those that wrote the information of which we took from them, that's called plagiarism. Not only that but its important to credit those of the information we take or reference from because its very important to acknowledge someone's work, that they've worked very hard on. If someone does plagiarize it can lead to being expelled from school as well as failing a course and not receiving your credits. It's that big of a penalty to plagiarize. So it is crucial that we do give credit to those of which we use their work.

  11. I believe it is right to give credit to those who we get information from because, it shows the reader where you drew your conclusions from. It gives more of a solid argument when you writing your paper, and it also helps you avoid plagiarism. Another way you can avoid plagiarism is re-writing or paraphrasing a quote from someone else. Turn that same thought into words of your own.

  13. It is important that one needs to give due credit to those whom they draw information from and reference because you have to tell readers where you got your information from so that they can have access to the original source and read it themselves if they have more questions about it. If you take credit for someone else’s work, you are not learning anything and you are being dishonest to the reader. If you plagiarize work, it can come back to you because it is also a crime called theft because you are basically stealing the words and ideas of someone else therefore, if caught, you can be charged by being sewed or even by doing time.

Plagiarism can be avoided by using quotations when you are citing someone else’s words. It can also be avoided by summarizing or paraphrasing what other people say in order to show that you have an understanding of it because you can put it in your own words. Another thing you must do when citing a source is write the page number where you got it from in parentheses, then at the end of the paper you include a work cited page which consists of all your sources , websites, etc., that you took your information from.

  14. It is important to give due credit to someone whose information one uses so that the person can be acknowledged for their work. Readers would be able to trace where the information was received from. This would help anyone who reads the paper if they wanted to confirm the strength of the text by being able to determine the accuracy of it based on how reliable the cited author is.

A person has ownership over their ideas just like any other thing they own so to use their information without acknowledging that it is their work is plagiarism. Plagiarism can be avoided by either summarizing the information that one wants to use or citing the information giving the original author due credit.

  15. When one cites a source it is important that one gives credit to the author becuase it gives the writer a stable and precise premise for their work. As readers evaluate one's work, they must be able to understand and comprehen the author's concept and be able to analysis his/or her theories. Plagarism for many people leads to many legal battles and if in school can be to one being expelled it is important to resist this to keep one's work credable. To prevent plagarism one must appropriately cite the sources and analysis the author's text for the general concept to to able to regurgitate the author's point of view.

  17. It is important to give credit to those we draw reference or information from because the thoughts and ideas we use are not our own. So credit should be given to those who deserve it as to not plagiarize their work and allow others to know where we received our information from.

Methods for avoiding plagiarism are paraphrasing or citing quotations and borrowed ideas. These two methods will ensure that credit is given to those who deserve it and avoiding plagiarism.

  18. Plagiarism is something that shouldn't be done by anyone because it is both ethically and morally wrong. It is very important to give credit to authors from whom you receive and reiterate information or ideas. The reason author write their pieces of work is to have another individual read, understand, enjoy, and be inspired to develop different opinions and or theories about the subject written. Imagine if we all where able to claim something that wasn't really ours society is we know it wouldn't exist. Another problem with not giving credit to the correct person would be that that particular individuals feeling would be affected. If I where to write a essay or something else I was proud of and someone took credit for it it I'd be upset and angry. Wouldn't you? It can be hard to avoid plagiarism because sometimes good ideas ideas seep into your head while you read and then you read it down. A good way to avoid plagiarism is to reread your papers highlight your ideas in one color and outside ideas in another color and finally go back and make sure all the ones you didn't come up with yourself get cited properly. It important for students and professionals to not commit plagiarism because it is frown upon in the educational as well as educated worlds.

  19. I didn't realized we had h.w and I will give no excuses, but I will try and do it anyways even if it doesn't count.

One of the main reason one needs to give credit to another individual is to avoid plagiarism. Not giving credit for another persons hard earned work is in fact cheating/plagiarism, a good reason to give due credit to an author or an artist is that those people had to research or think hard about the things the wrote, so if you just copy and paste, change a few words and proclaim those are your words it is still plagiarism and things like that can damage an author's self-esteem.
A way to give proper due credit to an author is to state the author's name also using quotation is important to show exactly what the author has stated. Another thing is to put down the page or source which you got the information from that way others can search deeper into the situation if they want to.

  20. I think it is very important that one must give credit to those whom they draw information from and reference, so that if the reader might be interested in more information about the topic they can go to it for further details. Besides this it’s also about morality. To take someone’s work is taking someone’s creditbility which is wrong. It is unfair to the person who put effort into that work. One way that plagiarism may be avoided is through citations. Some ways of citing your work is through MLA, APA, or Chicago format. You can summarize the author’s information in your own words and give the reference, or you may use a direct quote from the author in quotations and state his or her name. However, you must explain the quote in further details.
